SAN FRANCISCO (CBSLA.com) — Major league ballplayers across the nation all wore No. 42 in honor of Jackie Robinson on Tuesday night, and for the Dodgers and the Giants, that’s hardly where the similarities ended.
The Dodgers, coming off their second sweep of the season against the Arizona Diamondbacks, were unable to keep the ball rolling against the Giants in their first trip to AT&T Park in 2014.
Kenley Jansen blew the save in the ninth inning and Brandon League gave up the winning run as the Dodgers fell to the Giants 3-2 in extra innings.
The hot-hitting Juan Uribe, who came into the ball game with a Major League-leading four games with three or more hits in the young season, got the Dodgers going in the second inning with an absolute blast into the left field stands, giving the Dodgers an initial 1-0 lead.
