I2C Communication testing with an Arduino (master) and a PIC (slave)

Recently I started my final year research project work with Yasura Vithana, Udith Arosha and Pubudu Gunatilaka. Our aim is to build a simple, interactive, friendly and extensible robot framework for kids. We decided to test I2C communication, which can be used to communicate between the main module and the other modules of the robot. Our aim was to use an Arduino for the main module and PICs for other modules.

As a starting point we checked serial communication with the Arduino and PC using Serial Monitor of Arduino IDE and then serial communication with PIC and the PC using UART tool of PICKIT2. Our idea was to check the receiving data to a device using serial communication.
